Parfina is seeking a proactive and skilled IT Systems Administrator to support and enhance our growing IT infrastructure. Reporting directly to the IT Manager, you will play a critical role in system efficiency, security, user management, and technical support. This role focuses heavily on macOS endpoint administration using Jamf, Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 management, and support through Jira, ensuring smooth technology operations across the organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Systems Administration

    • Support the setup, maintenance, and administration of Google Workspace, macOS, Windows, and Linux systems.

    • Assist with system installations, upgrades, migrations, and configuration updates.

    • Maintain and organize IT inventory, including hardware, software, and licensing.

  • Security & Compliance

    • Work with the IT Security team to implement security controls, system audits, vulnerability assessments, and user access management.

    • Ensure compliance with internal policies and assist with SOC2, ISO27001, and ITSM standards.

    • Maintain logs of cybersecurity incidents, repairs, system performance, and policy compliance.

    • Support network security, DevOps initiatives, and recommend improvements to strengthen IT infrastructure.

  • User Support & Helpdesk Operations

    • Provide frontline helpdesk support for all employees via Jira—remote or on-site.

    • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues using diagnostic techniques.

    • Perform repairs, upgrades, and routine maintenance to ensure optimal user performance.

    • Manage user onboarding/offboarding, including account setup, device deployment, recovery, and training.

    • Deliver end-user training for systems, tools, security practices, and IT procedures.

  • Documentation & Process Improvement

    • Create and maintain internal IT documentation, manuals, workflows, and SOPs.

    • Contribute to building an internal technical wiki for knowledge-sharing across the organization.

What You Need to Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

  • Strong understanding of IT support processes, ITSM frameworks, SOC2, and ISO27001 standards.

  • Deep technical experience with macOS, Windows, and Linux operating systems.

  • Hands-on experience administering Google Workspace environments with 50+ users.

  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is highly desirable.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose hardware, software, and network issues.

  • Basic knowledge of information security and compliance best practices.

  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving ability.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for supporting non-technical users.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and evolving IT systems.

  • Team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills.

  • Ability to commute to Mississauga as required.
